{"id":3380,"date":"2017-06-02T10:02:14","date_gmt":"2017-06-02T08:02:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/straton.co.za\/solar\/?p=3380"},"modified":"2017-06-02T10:02:14","modified_gmt":"2017-06-02T08:02:14","slug":"lets-make-port-elizabeth-the-clean-energy-hub-of-south-africa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/straton.co.za\/solar\/lets-make-port-elizabeth-the-clean-energy-hub-of-south-africa\/","title":{"rendered":"Let&#8217;s make Port Elizabeth the Clean Energy hub of South Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was whilst watching Arnold Schwarzenegger\u2019s blunt Clean Energy message to Donald Trump on the back of Trump announcing that he is pulling the US out of the Paris Climate Agreement that I was gently struck on the head with a thought:<\/p>\n<div class=\"fb-quote fb_iframe_widget\" data-href=\"http:\/\/mype.co.za\/new\/?p=88400\"><\/div>\n<h3>Position Nelson Mandela Bay as the Renewable Energy hub of South Africa whilst cleaning up our environment, rivers, air and surroundings in order to attract renewable energy tourists, experts and eco-tourists from all over the world.<\/h3>\n<p>If California can do it then nothing can stop us from getting the leap on other metropolitan municipalities in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Our city needs a singular focus that will sweep us into a sustainable future that creates jobs, empowers small entrepreneurs and, to borrow from Trump and Macron;
